Oberlin College
Conservatory - Violin Auditions
•one movement from a Bach solo sonata or partita
•the first or last movement from a standard 19th or 20th century concerto
•a study such as Dont, Gavinies, Rode, or Paganini
German major - at least 10½ courses (asked if I need to do more General Studies for this as a double major)
My goal is to major in violin and in German. After that, I hope to study in Germany.
I studied organ here for a week, and it simply tells you what music really is historically. They have strong period work and workshops for adults in different things.
I've actually also studied some Scandinavian but not much.

"A Hot Topic"
Did you notice how people who are from Generation XY feel they get treated worse than people born around 1997 and 1998? I am all for people born around 1997 and 1998 being treated so sweetly. The other thing everyone knows is people born in Late Boom before Generation X are also treated well, and they are considered very much so the parental generation of people born around 1997 and 1998.
"It strikes me as funny" that people would have to recognize generations in their dealings without it coming "without saying," too. It's hard to believe that someone born around 1997 and 1998 with Late Boom parents would be able to take advantage of others. I saw it happen. In the movie Elf, there is a scene before he goes upstairs. There is a mother with 2 children with mousy blonde or light brown hair. The older one is born around 1990 and looks very set up to be the good one and get attention, looks a bit like a doll, more Barbie-doll-like, like a small/young version of a regular-sized one. The other girl is born around 1997 and 1998. She kinda kicks at her sister and the mother has her back, like she's all that. She would never make her feel like she's not good enough nor did something wrong. She "still goes on."
I almost wonder if Late Boomers have it better than Generation YZ, people born around 1985-1995.
So, the problem is what are we gonna do about the kids of Generation X and about Generation X themselves? We can't just quit caring, just because we don't like some of them or something. Generation XY really took to things like Pirates of the Caribbean. I think it's a trap for younger people who are born before 1997 and 1998. If someone from Generation X wants to feel like an adult, that's fine, but I haven't abandoned the program. That includes interaction like Generation X or a moving on, hopefully with but "with or without them." I already have to wait for Late Boomers to do their business. I guess they are secretly happy cuz they aren't as old as the generations before, who don't seem to have lose their vitality nor "huff and puff" in excitement getting by as the snazzy ones, like Generation XY just don't exist but everyone else does and the kids born around 1997 and 1998 are the youngest and maybe some tool in their life to stay and feel young.

Caring About Worth
Do you know about people caring more about people who seem to care about you? Like your blood isn't as worth it as their blood, tho you're close? Even those closer to you seem to "hate your guts?"
